We DO NOT offer conventional (pressure washing) services. Pressure washing can damage your building or structure and is inferior to the (soft wash) cleaning that Structure Cleaning Services provides.
What "THEY" Do
The conventional methods of cleaning the exterior of buildings consist of pressure washing,
sandblasting or bead blasting. Sometimes a combination of pressure and sand blasting is used.
1. Etch
Pressure washing can etch substrates as hard as marble; much less softer substrates such as limestone, sandstone, pre cast concrete or synthetic stucco. Obviously, any method that has the ability to remove a layer of the substrate cannot be good for the overall longevity of the building.
Turn Your Building To Dust
Unfortunately, the owners of this pre cast
concrete building learned of our process
after signing a contract to have their building pressure washed. The result is a pile of sand literally etched from the building deep enough to write the word pressure.
Shapes & Patterns
Pressure washing can leave striping and pressure washers mounted with a cleaning head can leave circular damage patterns.
2. And Repeat!
When a building is pressure washed, it's effectively the same as a person shaving their head or legs. As the hair will grow back relatively quickly, so will the biological growth on a building, which means it won't be long before you have to repeat the whole pressure washing process, again!
