The Structure Cleaning & Coating method for cleaning a building exterior surface consists of an environmentally friendly soft chemical wash.

1. Demonstrate, Evaluate & Quote
The only way for us to properly estimate the cost to clean your building is to inspect it in
person. We will come to your structure to evaluate your structure and demonstrate our cleaning process on your building. We perform a cleaning demonstration at no charge or obligation. We will take digital before and after pictures to include with a detailed written proposal. This is important for many reasons. We have to be able to evaluate the time it will take to clean your building and make sure that it will come clean. This demo process will also give you an example of what you can expect your entire building to look like when we are finished.

2. Soft Chemical Wash
We apply a soft chemical wash to the surface of your structure. This is an alkaline based product is applied to the surface of the building with approximately 90 PSI. This chemistry actually destroys the root and seed of the biological growth.

3. Fresh Water Rinse
After applying this product to a specific portion of the building, it is then rinsed with fresh water at approximately 400 PSI. Our technicians can actually spray into their hand with this amount of pressure without injury. If it cannot hurt a human, it certainly will not hurt a building. The rinsing process is simply to rinse the broken down biological growth and grime from the building. We use pumps and hoses that are designed for a high volume water but low pressure. With the root and seed of the growth destroyed, the building will stay clean for much longer than if pressure washed.

4. Seal & Protect
In many cases we recommend sealing the building after cleaning. Not only will this greatly reduce exterior water absorption that can cause interior water intrusion, but it will also keep the surface clean for a very long time. Natural biological growth (mold, mildew, algae, etc.) only needs continued moisture to allow the spores to bloom and grow. Since the sealer sheds the moisture away from the substrate, the spores cannot be fed and the building stays clean. We highly prefer to use Prosoco sealing products. While they are not the most inexpensive, we have found them to be very effective and will not discolor or leave a “shiny” look to the structure. Click here to learn more about our sealing process.
